Engine, This little Honda twin has had a cylinder and piston Big bore kit fitted, boosting the cubic capacity by a further 3 millimetres in diameter; the head has also benefited from a Stage 2 Port job. The Carburettors are a pair of 24mm Keihin's which have been re jetted to suit a pair of K&N Air pods.
The crank cases have been cleaned and painted along with Cylinders, head and rocker cover; also the engine covers have been cleaned then polished to a high standard.
Exhausts: The sound tone for this little sports Cafe Racer is delivered by a pair of reverse cone mufflers custom made by Lossa, which are and finished in a ceramic black coating.
Frame: Starting from the back, the rear of the Subframe has been cut down and finished off with a traditional style hoop which has been welded into place, the frame has been completely stripped of all unwanted lugs, brackets and unnecessary fittings, then finished off in a shade of vibrant red paint which is the original colour scheme for this cycle.
Controls: At the helm is a set of beautifully crafted Lossa Handlebars, with classic grips and custom levers with shortened cables. The gears and rear brake are controlled by a set of custom engineered foot pegs, and Rear sets... It seemed perfect sense to add some extra stability to the bike so a H1 Steering Damper was fitted. Rewiring of the bike was kept down to a bare minimum, with most of the electrical wiring being reduced and cleverly hidden, the original battery was replaced with a Dry Cell unit, which is hidden within the rear seat pod.
Wheels: The hubs are polished and re spoked with new chrome rims, sitting on the new rims are a pair of modern type tires that are one size over. Softening the ride at the back is a pair of new Hagon chrome spring black body dampers.
Styling: The fuel Tank has been finished to a high standard in the original colour scheme of Metallic silver, with matching chrome tank panels and also a Lossa filler cap. At the rear of the bike is a Single seat unit which has been upholstered in real leather, the unit is also fitted with a Lossa designed rear LED tail light unit.From the outset this 1966 Honda CB160, has been totally restyled.. the theme is minimalist and simple just what a Cafe Racer should be, the attention to detail is just spot on. From fasteners to paintwork, there has been absolutely nothing overlooked on this most excellent Replica build.
